Old Pultney Whisky - Maturation Process
A snippet of a mini documentary style series produced for Old Pultney whisky in Wick, Scotland.
This piece follows distillery manager Malcom as tells the story of the distillery's maturation process. There's more to the process than one might think, it requires careful planning and a lot of patience.
The video that I produced is geared towards both those new to whisky, and the connoisseur alike. It highlights the slow proccesses involved in creating the perfect whiskies.
Veterans Housing Scotland: TV Advert
Directed and handled from briefing through to delivery. Handled pre-production, filming, and post-production managing a small team of artists along the way.
This piece was produced in strict accordance to the client's budget and their pre-defined story board. Limited shoot time in a single location did not prevent production of this successful TV commercial for a campaign running nationally in January 2024.
Invaluable Inventions: Germblitzer Tutorial
Pitching new concept products to clients and potential consumers is never easy. I was commissioned to produce a short explainer style video which is both on brand for the client and accessible for the viewer.
This piece was part of a wider campaign to document products in a user-friendly, but visually compelling way.
Association for Project Safety: General
A general informative video produced for APS. This piece is used across a multitude of marketing channels to inform viewers of the work that the company does.
Simple, yet effective, this project successfully meets the clients branding requirements whilst encouraging the viewer to find out more.
Motion graphics and video design are always managed in house.
Dark Matter
A short, fun video aimed at social media viewers who might take inspiration to go make themselves a warming winters drink.
Short, snappy, and to the point. Making use of motion and unusual camera angles to hook the viewer in.
Borthwick Castle: Levels
This luxurious castle has three main function rooms that they wanted to show off in their best light.
The client was happy to give creative license for this video. Looking at it from outside, the castle's main building is a tower block. It would've been a shame not to tell it's story.
This piece plays an important role in showing off the best of the castle to potential clients who may not be able to view in person ahead of booking.
Invaluable Inventions: Germblitzer B2B
This video helps tell the story of Germblitzer and provides viewers with a sense of its real world use.
An important part of selling newly invented products is how well understood they are. This project was one of a set of three videos which the client uses to advertise and communicate their product to potential buyers across the globe.
It was important that the storyline is accessible, with focus being on the usage of the product.
A Cinematic Viewpoint
Here is a styled video which helps to document a gloomy road trip around the Scottish Highlands and Islands.
Nostalgic and sombre, this piece focusses on reflection and travel. Despite it's emotion, viewers should feel oddly inspired and drawn to explore the outdoors.
Featured across social media platforms as a creative film.
Make Coffee With Me
Whilst I was unwell with a flu I wanted to show how important it is to rest and recharge in whatever way you choose. For me, that's through coffee and cameras.
The aim was to encourage my network and audience across social media to take a break to check in with themselves.
We know through scientific research that there is little to be gained from following the “hustler” mindset. Don’t believe me? There’s a correlation between the “grind lifestyle” and poor mental health & well-being (IJERPH, 2019).
I had never filmed my coffee making process, despite it being a pretty integral part of my day. Was almost tempted to share this with no music - sfx only.
Remember to take frequent breaks and chill.
Come make coffee with me.

Invaluable Inventions: Germblitzer B2B
This project formed part of a larger campaign to pitch a newly designed product to potential B2B buyers around the world.
The client needed a concise explainer video that could aid their sales pitches. This video had the task of spiking the interest of executive decision makers.
It had to be clear, clean-cut, and highlight a diverse range of the products' use cases.
Association for Project Safety: Student
This video plays an important role in APS's Student Recruitment campaign. The video needed to be easy to follow, whilst being engaging and still providing enough information to the viewer.
It's featured in email recruitment campaigns, across social media, and the company's website.
Mazelab Coffee
A newly launched specialty coffee shop who love to show their social media following how they prepare drinks.
Viewers are offered a unique opportunity to see exactly what goes on behind the coffee machine when baristas prepare their favourite drinks.
Netwomen
The client needed a video featuring their company founder as part of a general membership campaign.
This video was commissioned for use on social media, email campaigns, and the company website.
It needed to be accessible, using subtitles and motion graphics to achieve this.
Callisto Watches
One of my first client videos all those years ago. Although it was a while ago, and perhaps trends have changed, this video is still relevant today.
Produced for social media, this video was commissioned to appeal to followers and portray a lifestyle that aligned with the client's brand.
Even in the early days of producing video, clients were delivered exactly what they wanted.
Jennifer Hunter: Dance Short
Dancers and people working in performing arts need to stand out from the crowd to help them land the roles that they want.
This video was commissioned to do just that. Whilst relatively niche and low budget, it's a great example of the level of quality that can be produced for all clients.
